Bali in February with kids
| Month | Weather | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| November to March | Wet season on the GB climate page | Includes February. A Chinese-locale page used March to September for the dry season. Those boundaries are not merged here. |
| Rainy-season air (Bali) | 25°C to 31°C | Higher humidity. More rain in Ubud and Bedugul than in the south. |
| April to October | Dry season on the GB climate page | Humidity still 70 to 90 percent nationally. |
| Nyepi | March or April, not February | 2027 date not posted. Waterbom closes only that day. |
February is rain on official Indonesia Travel pages, and it is not Nyepi. The Bali with kids page already covers Waterbom child tickets, Monkey Forest hours and Trans Studio age bands. This note is the wet-season window those pages actually printed, and the closure that does not fall in February.
Indonesia Travel and Waterbom were opened on 15 October 2026. No official month-by-month Bali thermometer loaded, so none is invented. Nyepi 2027 and Imlek 2027 dates were not posted, so they are omitted.
Wet, 25 to 31°C, not silent
The English climate page puts most of the country, including Bali, in a dry season from April to October and a wet season from November to March. Humidity is 70 to 90 percent. February sits in the wet half.
A Chinese-locale rainy-season page on the same official site prints Bali rainy-season air at 25°C to 31°C, more humid than hot, and wetter in Ubud and Bedugul than in the south. It also tells you to wear long sleeves and long trousers, or to use repellent.
Those two official pages do not agree on the exact month the dry season starts (April on the GB page, March on the CN page). This guide will not merge them. February is wet on both.
Visiting Bali soon repeats tropical, warm and humid air all year, cooler and wetter in the mountains than on the coast. There is still no January-February-March table.
Nyepi is a different month
Indonesia Travel says Nyepi appears in March or April on the Gregorian calendar, and that the airport and the island close for 24 hours. Waterbom's 2026 Ogoh-Ogoh note sat on 17 March, just before that year's Day of Silence. The 2027 date was not on the pages opened.
Do not plan February as a silent day. Do not plan it as a dry-season beach week either.
Imlek is described as January or February. No 2027 date appeared. A yearless "16 February" food article is not a visitor listing.
Parks that stay open
Waterbom stays 09:00 to 18:00 every day and closes only on Nyepi. Under-11s need an adult. The same FAQ says weekends from February through April, and again October through November, are the quieter window if you want fewer people, not better weather.
That is the outdoor day that still exists in the wet season: a ticketed park with shade and slides, not a temple circuit in the hills. Trans Studio remains the indoor backup on the year-round page. Monkey Forest's 09:00 to 18:00 clock does not change with the month. Last entrance stays 17:00.
There is still no metro fare to quote. That gap does not close in February.
A February stay that holds: one Waterbom day if you have a child who swims, one indoor Trans Studio afternoon when the rain sits, and no Nyepi transfer to the airport. For tickets and age bands, stay on Bali with kids.
What the rain is for, and what it is not
25 to 31°C is warm enough for water. It is also humid enough for mosquitoes. Official copy asks for long sleeves or repellent, not for a winter coat. Pack a dry change for after the park. Do not pack as if this were Tokyo in February.
Ubud in February is the wetter inland option on that Chinese-locale page. If you want less rain, the same page points you south, not to a different month. Do not invent a Denpasar millimetre count.
Waterbom's quieter-weekend note is about crowds, not about a break in the monsoon. Come early. Leave time to dry off. Do not add Monkey Forest after a full park day unless everyone still wants a walk in wet forest.
If Nyepi has been posted by the time you book flights, it will be a March or April date on an official page. Until that sentence exists for 2027, February is the wet month you can actually name.
Trans Studio's weekday clock on the year-round page is 11:00 to 18:00 WITA, weekends 11:00 to 19:00. That indoor park is the rain plan that does not wait for a monthly rainfall table Indonesia Travel never printed. Tickets there split Child (1 to 7) and Adult (over 7). Height minima still apply per ride. Do not add it after a full Waterbom day unless everyone still wants machines.
Monkey Forest last entrance stays 17:00. A wet afternoon in 12.5 hectares of forest is a different argument from Kuta slides. If you go, keep food sealed. The operator page does not define the child age band. This page will not invent one.
Indonesia Travel's national coastal average of 28°C, inland 26°C and mountain 23°C is a country band, not a Bali February row. It is not used as a Denpasar forecast.
Questions
Is Waterbom closed in February?
No. Waterbom is open every day 09:00 to 18:00 and closes only on Nyepi, which official pages place in March or April. The 2027 Nyepi date was not posted.
Is February the dry season in Bali?
Indonesia Travel's English climate page puts Bali in the November to March wet season. February sits inside that window. No official monthly rainfall table was printed.
Which February 2027 festivals are confirmed?
None on the official Indonesia Travel pages opened for this guide. Imlek is described as January or February with no 2027 date. This page does not invent a festival calendar.
