Orlando Science Centeryouth 2 to 12Under 12 with a responsible adult. Closed Wednesdays except OCPS breaks.

Pick one resort for the first paid day and stop. Visit Orlando names four clusters: Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld Orlando and LEGOLAND Florida Resort. A family that tries two of those before supper has a car day, not a park day.

Orlando with children is an age-band city. Under 3 at Disney, 2 and under at SeaWorld, under 2 at LEGOLAND: those are the free tickets. The rest of the day is one gate. Operator and Visit Orlando pages were opened on 14 October 2026. Universal's own child-age FAQ did not render, so this page does not invent a Universal cutoff.

Disney: who needs a ticket, who needs a 14-year-old

Visit Orlando's FAQ is the map: four Disney theme parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom) plus two water parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Water-park tickets state that children younger than 3 do not need a ticket. The bands on that page are ages 3 to 9 and ages 10 and over.

Park rules add the accompaniment line that actually runs the morning. Guests under 14 enter a theme park or water park only with a guest aged 14 or older. To board an attraction, children under 7 need a person aged 14 or older. A family of two adults and two six-year-olds is fine. A group of 13-year-olds without an older teen is not.

Stroller wagons are prohibited. Personal strollers larger than 31 inches (79 cm) wide and 52 inches (132 cm) long are prohibited. Bring the smaller one or rent on site.

Baby Care Centers sit in all four theme parks: nursing room, changing tables, feeding area, kitchenette. Lost children are taken there. Water parks, hotels and Disney Springs have restroom changing stations, not those centres. Use the park one as the reset, not as a second attraction.

Lightning Lane, dining and park-hopper arithmetic change by date. This page does not print a price that the ticket calendar can move overnight.

SeaWorld or LEGOLAND, not both

SeaWorld's FAQ is a different free band: ages 2 and younger need no ticket. From 3, they do. Visitors 13 and younger need an adult, except at named youth camps or sleepovers. Baby food and formula may come in. General outside food may not. Sesame Street Land is the young-child reason to choose this park over a coaster day.

LEGOLAND Florida is the 2-to-12 park, in Winter Haven, about 45 minutes from the Orlando parks. Under 2s enter free. Ages 2 and above need a ticket. SEA LIFE Florida is included. Peppa Pig Theme Park is part of the same resort on the Visit Orlando list. That is a preschool day. It is not a same-evening add-on after Magic Kingdom.

Promotional "from" prices and resident cards were on some pages and are omitted here because they are seasonal.

A city day that is not a resort

When you need a rest from gates, Orlando Science Center is the indoor city plan: 10:00 to 17:00 most days, closed Wednesday except during Orange County Public Schools breaks, and closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Easter Sunday. Under 12s need a responsible adult. Youth tickets are ages 2 to 12. KidsTown is the under-7 room on the Visit Orlando toddler list. One building. Then stop.

LYNX reduced fares cover the city buses, not the resort shuttles. Ages 6 and under ride free with an adult paying a full or discounted fare, at most 3 children per adult. Unaccompanied in that band, they pay 1 US dollar. Ages 7 to 9 use a Youth Pass without a Youth ID. Ages 10 to 18 still in high school need the Youth ID. Most visiting families are in cars or hotel buses. If you do ride LYNX, that is the child rule.

A first Orlando stay that works: one Disney park if you have a child who can handle a full gate day, or LEGOLAND if the oldest child is 2 to 12 and you would rather stay at that scale. SeaWorld is the animal-and-Sesame alternative. The Science Centre is the Wednesday-check indoor pause. Two parks in one day is how the queue wins.

What you should not stack

Magic Kingdom and EPCOT are not a same-day pair for a first visit with children under 8. Each gate is a full walking day. Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom are the same rule. Visit Orlando's four-park list is a menu, not a weekend itinerary.

Character dining, Lightning Lane and park-hopper add-ons change by date and sell out. This page does not print those prices. If you want a meal with a character, book it on the Disney site before you fly, and treat it as the sit-down, not as a second park.

Peppa Pig Theme Park is on the Visit Orlando LEGOLAND cluster. It is a preschool scale. A 10-year-old who already wants coasters will finish it too fast. Match the gate to the youngest child you will not split from, or split the adults for a few hours.

LYNX will not replace a resort bus. Use it if you are staying in the city and going to the Science Centre. Do not use it as the Magic Kingdom plan. The 3-child free band is for the city bus, with an adult who already paid.
