NYC Parks dates Yoshino and Kwanzan to April. NYCgo did not print a temperature table on the day this page was checked. The New York with kids page already covers MTA height rules, AMNH tickets and Bronx Zoo winter hours. This note is the bloom windows those official garden pages printed, and the zoo row that was still missing.
NYC Parks, NYBG, Bronx Zoo, AMNH and Central Park Conservancy were opened on 15 October 2026. NYCgo's weather URL failed. Generated utrip.v.nycgo.com figures disagreed with each other and are not used. No 2027 festival dates sat on NYC Parks or NYBG.
Two weeks, then another two weeks
The NYC Parks cherry page is the sequence. Okame first, usually mid to late March. Yoshino and Kwanzan usually in April. Each species flowers about two weeks. Sakura Park's Yoshinos are usually early April.
NYBG prints Yoshino throughout April and Kanzan from late April to mid-May, 543 trees, 82 kinds, 250 acres. Central Park Conservancy places Okame on the west-side bridle path, Yoshino at Cherry Hill and the reservoir, Kwanzan later at the reservoir.
That is a walk, not a ticketed festival. No 2027 peak date was posted. Do not reuse a 2026 forecast.
Randall's Island still pointed at a May festival with a 2022 page behind it. It is omitted.
The zoo table stops in March
Bronx Zoo on 15 October 2026 printed winter 1 November 2026 to March 2027: daily 10:00, exhibits 16:00, zoo 16:30. Children's Zoo, Monorail, Butterfly Garden, Zoo Shuttle and Budgie Landing stay shut in that window. April 2027 was not a row.
The last published April 2026 pattern was 10:00 open, weekday close 17:00, weekend close 17:30. That is last year's spring clock, not a 2027 promise. Under-17s still need an adult 18 or over. Under-2s stay free.
AMNH does not change for April: 10:00 to 17:30, closed Thanksgiving and Christmas. Under-3s still need a ticket even when admission is waived. Central Park stays 06:00 to 01:00. Heckscher Playground restrooms stay on the year-round Conservancy clock.
NYSCI's Wednesday to Sunday 10:00 to 17:00, and free Friday community hours from 14:00, stay on the year-round page.
No official April thermometer
NYCgo's weather URL did not load. This page will not quote a high, a low or a rainfall figure. Pack a layer because March Okame and April Yoshino sit in early spring, not because a tourism table said 15°C.
MTA's under-44-inch free ride with an adult does not change in April. The 3 US dollar subway fare does not change either.
A first April stay that holds: Central Park or Sakura Park in the Yoshino window, NYBG if you want the labelled collection, AMNH when it rains, the zoo after you have checked the live last-entry time. For December lights and Christmas closures, use New York in December.
What the bloom is for
April is a two-week tree, then another two-week tree, then an indoor hall. It is not a dated cherry festival and it is not a posted zoo evening.
If you have one outdoor morning, pick Cherry Hill or NYBG, not both. If you have one paid indoor ticket, buy AMNH. If you have a child under 3, the AMNH ticket is still required even when the price is waived.
Do not write "peak bloom" onto a printed itinerary. Parks and NYBG give a month, not a Tuesday. Come in the window. Walk. If the petals have dropped, the playgrounds are still open until 01:00 in the park, and AMNH is still 10:00 to 17:30. For fares, stay on New York with kids.
NYSCI stays Wednesday to Sunday 10:00 to 17:00, last entry 16:00. Friday community hours from 14:00 to 17:00 remain free general admission with a reservation. The preschool area is still designed for children under 6. That is the indoor April backup that does not depend on a zoo row.
Statue of Liberty museum entry is still free. The ferry is not. Children under 4 stay at 0 US dollars on the NPS fee page. Crown access is still restricted under 4. Hard Hat Tours stay ages 13 and over. Those rules do not change because Yoshino is out.
MTA express buses stay 7.25 US dollars. Local subway and bus stay 3. Children under 44 inches still ride free with an adult. Count height, not age, before you tap.
