Family prices from hvv, Hamburg Travel, Miniatur Wunderland, Hagenbeck and the planetarium, checked 13 October 2026.

Planetarium Hamburg, reduced including under 177.70 eurosFull 12.30 euros. Closed Monday. No late entry. Kleiner Stern from age 5, about 45 minutes.

Buy the Miniatur Wunderland time slot before you argue about which side of the Elbe to sleep on. The model world sells timed entry, the child price is fixed on the official fees page, and the rest of Hamburg can stay loose around that booking. hvv, Hamburg Travel, Hagenbeck and the planetarium supplied the other figures. Each of those pages was opened on 13 October 2026.

hvv: under 6s, then the adult day ticket

hvv single and day tickets are blunt. Children under 6 always travel free. From age 6 they need a child ticket. In Hamburg AB an adult single was 4.10 euros and a child single 1.50 euros. Day tickets: adult 8.20 euros, child 3.00 euros, group 16.40 euros.

The adult day ticket is the family product hiding in that list. It covers 1 adult plus up to 3 children aged 6 to 14 until 06:00 the next day. If you are one adult with 2 or 3 children in that band, you may not need a child day ticket at all. The group day ticket at 16.40 euros covers up to 5 people of any age, which is the better sum when teenagers and a second adult are in the same party.

Harbour ferries sit inside the same hvv thinking once you hold a valid ticket. They are transport, not a cruise you add on later.

Hamburg CARD against that 8.20 euro ticket

The Hamburg CARD starts at 12.90 euros for one day. It covers 1 person plus 3 children aged 6 to 14. You get unlimited bus, train and harbour ferries in zone AB, including the airport S1, which Hamburg Travel times at about 25 minutes. Validity runs from 00:00 on the start day until 06:00 after the last day.

Compare it with the 8.20 euro adult day ticket before you buy. Both already carry those 3 children aged 6 to 14. The card costs more on day one. It also starts at midnight, which helps an early airport S1. This page does not invent attraction discounts on the card, because the booking page we used states the transport cover and the 12.90 euro starting price, not a museum menu.

If you land on the S1 and ride AB all day, the card is the cleaner airport-to-bed product. If you are already in town and only crossing to Speicherstadt and back, run the 8.20 euro day ticket first.

Miniatur Wunderland as the indoor booking

Admission fees listed 22 euros for adults, 13 euros for under 16s, and free for a child under 1 metre with a parent. Book the timed ticket. On site there is a play corner, a kids cinema, baby change, a microwave and a nursing area.

That list is why the visit works with a baby as well as with a child under 16 who wants the airport model. The free under-1-metre rule is the one to measure at home. The 13 euro under-16 price is the one to budget for everyone else still in school.

Do not stack Hagenbeck after a full Wunderland morning. The model halls are an indoor half-day. The zoo is an outdoor one.

Hagenbeck: last admission is the clock that matters

Hagenbeck visitor information listed the zoo at 29 euros for adults and 19 euros for children aged 4 to 16. The aquarium is 25 euros for adults and 17 euros for children. The combo is 45 euros and 33 euros. Family zoo tickets: 2 adults plus 2 children at 79 euros, or 2 adults plus 3 children at 89 euros.

Last admission is 1 hour before closing. Closing was listed at 17:00 at the main entrance and 16:30 at Gazellenkamp. Arrive for the last hour and you will be turned away. Build lunch into the middle, not the end.

The 2-plus-2 family ticket at 79 euros is lower than two adult zoo tickets at 29 euros plus two child tickets at 19 euros. Use that sum, not a blog's "family deal" guess.

Planetarium Mondays, and the tourism extras

Planetarium Hamburg listed 12.30 euros full and 7.70 euros reduced, and the reduced band includes under 17s. It is closed on Monday. There is no late entry. Kleiner Stern, the children's show, is from age 5, lasts about 45 minutes, and runs in German with English audio.

Monday is a zoo day or a park day, not a dome day. If you have a 4-year-old, Kleiner Stern is not yet their show.

Hamburg Travel's families page also lists KL!CK Children's Museum at 1,500 square metres, the HoheLuftschiff and Planten un Blomen. Those are the spare stops when Wunderland is sold out or Hagenbeck is too far for the afternoon. This page does not invent their ticket prices.

A sane first visit: timed Wunderland, then either Hagenbeck with last admission in mind or a planetarium show that is not on a Monday. Ride AB on the adult day ticket or the Hamburg CARD, not on a fistful of 4.10 euro singles.
