Jaipur trip cost
Jaipur trip cost: Amber Fort, composite ticket, City Palace
A Jaipur trip costs what the counters charge plus your own travel and stay. Amber Fort is Rs 200 for an Indian adult, Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar Rs 100 each, and a composite ticket for the state monuments is Rs 550. City Palace is run by a private trust and sells its own tickets, from Rs 400.
Sourced 4 Nov 2026. State monument and forest site prices come from the Rajasthan Tourism booking portal (OBMS, no page date), City Palace prices from citypalace.org (no page date, with a notice dated 27 March 2026), and timings, distances and temperatures from Incredible India (undated).

State monument tickets
Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Albert Hall and Nahargarh Fort are run by Rajasthan's Department of Archaeology and Museums. Their prices for Indian visitors on the Rajasthan Tourism booking portal are below. The portal's security certificate fails in some browsers, so you may see a warning when you open it.
| Site | Indian adult | Indian student | Timing on OBMS |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amber (Amer) Fort | Rs 200 | Rs 100 | 7.00 AM to 8.00 PM |
| Hawa Mahal | Rs 100 | Rs 50 | 9:00 AM to 6.30 PM |
| Jantar Mantar | Rs 100 | Rs 50 | 9.00 AM to 7.00 PM |
| Albert Hall | Rs 100 | Rs 50 | 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM |
| Nahargarh Fort | Rs 100 | Rs 50 | 10.00 AM to 10.00 PM |
| Isarlat (Sargasuli) | Rs 50 | Rs 20 | 9:00 AM to 5.00 PM |
| Sisodia Rani Bagh | Rs 50 | Rs 20 | 8.00 AM to 8.00 PM |
| Vidhyadhar Garden | Rs 50 | Rs 20 | Not shown |
| Gandhi Vatika Museum | Rs 50 | Rs 25 | 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM |
Two sources disagree on Amber Fort's hours: OBMS says 7.00 AM to 8.00 PM, and Incredible India's Amber Fort page says 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Plan for the shorter window. The student ticket is issued on a valid ID card. OBMS prints no weekly closed day for these sites.
These prices rose on 1 January 2026. PinkCity Post reported on 29 December 2025 that the department revised them through the Rajasthan Gazette, with Amber going from Rs 100 to Rs 200 and Hawa Mahal, Albert Hall, Jantar Mantar and Nahargarh from Rs 50 to Rs 100. The same report mentions a new 10-day combined pass for state monuments, museums and galleries at Rs 1,300 for Indians. That pass is not on OBMS, so ask for it at the counter before you count on it.
The composite ticket
OBMS lists a composite ticket at Rs 550 for an Indian adult and Rs 180 for an Indian student on the Amber, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Albert Hall, Nahargarh and Isarlat entries. A second composite, Rs 420 for an adult and Rs 110 for a student, sits on the Sisodia Rani Bagh and Vidhyadhar Garden entries. The portal does not say which sites each composite covers or how many days it is valid, so ask at the counter. Amber, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and Albert Hall bought singly come to Rs 500 for an adult, so the Rs 550 composite saves money only if it covers more of the sites you plan to see.

City Palace
City Palace is run by a private trust and is not on the state composite. Its visit page lists these prices for Indian nationals and residents:
| Ticket | Adult | Student or child below 12 | Senior citizen or defence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Museum (courtyards and galleries) | Rs 400 | Rs 200 | Rs 200 |
| Composite (adds Jaigarh and the Royal Cenotaphs) | Rs 500 | Rs 300 | Rs 300 |
| Museum at Night (temporarily closed) | Rs 510 | Rs 260 | Rs 210 |
| Chandra Mahal Royal Tour (counter only) | Rs 4,000 | Rs 2,000 | Not listed |
- Hours: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, last tickets at 6:00 PM. Closed only on Dhulandi, the second day of Holi.
- Closed for restoration: the Textile Gallery in Mubarak Mahal, from 27 March 2026.

Safaris and forest sites
The Forest Department sites are booked on the same OBMS portal. Prices for Indian visitors:

Free entry and the child rules
There are two child rules in Jaipur, so check which one applies. At the state monuments, OBMS prints free entry for children below 7. At the forest sites (the Biological Park and Bird Park), children below 5 are free. City Palace has no free age on its ticket list: students and children below 12 pay the Rs 200 youth price, and the golf cart is free below 5.
- Student groups enter the state monuments free from 10.00 AM to 05.00 PM on their institute's recommendation.
- The state monuments are free for everyone on Rajasthan Diwas, 18 April (World Heritage Day), 18 May (World Museum Day) and 27 September (World Tourism Day).
- Hawa Mahal also lists free entry for visitors with disabilities.
